KalaHockey Senior Windup 2020

It’s been the longest shortest season ever! Thank you to everyone that has helped contribute towards one of the most challenging hockey years in a long time.

Now we can all sit back and celebrate a year well done with this year’s Senior Windup.

This year the Senior Windup will be held on the night of Saturday the 7th November. Tickets are $50 and are available for purchase now.

Just like other years this will include a meal, with the added bonus of having a live band to entertain us!

We will be using a drinks ticket system for purchasing drinks. You can also pre-purchase drinks tickets.

Drinks prices on the night of the Senior Windup will be:

  • Mid Strength Beer $4
  • Full Strength Beer $5
  • Spirits $7
  • Glass of wine $7
  • Bottle of wine $25

Tickets can be purchased by bank transfer with the description WINDUP.

Galadent Mouthguard Night Take 2

Save the date and protect those pearly whites! We have booked Galadent Dental for mouthguard fittings at the club on Tuesday 16th June between 4:30pm and 6:30pm.

While every effort will be made to ensure prompt delivery of mouth guards, please note that due to the limited time between the fitting and our season commencing any ordered mouth guards may not be here for round 1.

To book an appointment, go to www.galadent.com.au and click on Mouthguard Booking. Look for Kalamunda Hockey Club, select a time and follow the prompts to complete the booking form. One appointment is for one player only. If you have multiple players needing mouthguards please book them individual appointments.

While you are on the website please download the Mouthguard Form by clicking on ‘Mouthguard Form’ and then ‘Download Form’ Make sure you save it on your computer before you complete it as some browsers will not save your typed information unless it has been saved locally first. This will let you select the type of mouthguard along with any customisations you would like. Please complete a form for each booking.

Once completed, please print both pages of the form and bring it to your appointment. Hardcopies will be available on the night. Doing this before hand will help keep the queues moving and prevent long lines. With COVID-19 restrictions it will also help us from gathering too many people in one place at a time.

Once we are confirmed you will be able to book your mouthguard fitting through their website. An appointment will be for one person only. Multiple appointments must be made for multiple fittings.

Payment is required on the night by either filling in your credit card details on the Mouthguard Form or by paying in cash or by cheque (Please make cheques payable to Galadent Dental).

Passing Fun

Calling all Kala people! We’re looking for short videos from our KalaFamily of them passing the ball.

The idea is to collect lots of videos of people receiving the ball from their right and passing the ball off to their left, all while dressed up in your best Kala gear!

When you’ve filmed your email it to communications@nullkalahockey.org.au or message the video to our Facebook page. We’ll stitch the videos together into an amazing tapestry of passing and trapping.

I wonder what creative locations we’ll see people passing the ball from?
